LURRASKA: A PARADISE IN THE MIDDLE OF NATURE

During two incredible days 4,5,6 and 7 years-old children of the school went to a farm school in Lurraska next to Gernika. It was an incredible experience for all of us. We did different activities: we learnt how to make bread, how to feed the animals and we rode a horse!. At night we danced in the disco...Our favourite song was "Paquito el Chocolatero". It was very funny because we had to sleep all together in a big bedroom with our teachers...For some of us it was our first experience using a sleeping bag so we didn´t know very well how to use it!!!The meals were fantastic. We ate pasta, ric,fish, chicken...and for breakfast we had lots of biscuits. Even if we missed our parents we were very sad when time to return came and we had tot ake the bus to go to Bilbao...but we know that in the future we will have more chances to go to different parts of the world!!!!!We want to come back!!!!!Please!!!!!

CARNIVAL AT SCHOOL!!!!!

Hello!!!!Here we are again!!!!Last friday we celebrated a Carnival party at our school. Our youngest students dressed up and became different characters. There were pirates, kings and queens, vampires,...Lots of fun at the playground. Teachers also took part in the celebration. In the photograph you can see an example...It was a lovely day for all of us and the weather was very nice so we could celebrate a very big parade...When we rrived at home we were very tired and we wen to bed very early. We had to relax because on the following four days we were going to spend lots of energy in the carnivals of our villages or Bilbao...

CAMBRIDGE LIFE

Hello again! Lots of days after my last post ,here I am again. During three long weeks I went to Cambridge, a marvellous place in England, next to London. I went with another teacher of the school, my dear Luisma, and other 40 Basque English teachers. I stayed at a house there with an English family. It was very funny because I had the possibility to remember the past,when I first went to Dublin and I was very young. During the morning we went to an English Course in Bell School.

During the morning we took several lessons in which we studied different aspect of the language and the British Culture.We had lunch at the school and we took more lessons in the afternoon. Then when we finished the school we usually went for a walk or we visited the town which was full of monuments, churches and schools.

The family was very kind. They lived in a house with floors. I lived with another teacher. His name was Oskar and he is from Donosti. We became good friends and we went to everywhere together. It has been a fantastic adventure!

SPORTS

My life and sports are friends...I don´t understand the world without them...Do you play football? Do you like running?...What is your favourite one? Do you prefer to play or to watch it on TV? In my case I love them. But sitting down on the sofa watching the NBA, or how Nadal wins in Paris. There are people that love going out and run early in the morning or late at night. Thousands of them take part in popular races that are celebrated in nearly all the cities and countries of the world. Are you in a club? Write soon and tell me your experience!!!!

A NEW SCHOOL YEAR!!!!!

Hello, my little students. Here we are again. I know some of you are not very happy because holidays are over and school begins but...."Life is Life". What are your plans for this time? Are you going to study a lot?Do you have new teachers?....Write soon!!!!

The first day of my holidays I had a domestic accident and I broke my right foot so I have been without walking until August 15th....I visited Terra Mitica using a special vehicle....Look at the photo!!!What a pitty!!!!!

WHAT ARE YOU DOING?

During these last days watching the rain from the window of my bedroom...I have thought about the different activities that we can do in our free time. Last week I went to El Karpin and I could see very big dinosaurs in the middle of a dark forest...There were other exotic animals, too. For example: kangaroos, hawks, eagles, monkeys,...It was a lovely day and the park was full of people. If you have never gone to El Karpin it could be a good idea to spend a day. Carranza is an incredible green place!

In your last messages I have tested that you have lots of problems to make questions...Well here you have some important points to make them properly:
1.- THE ORDER OF THE SENTENCE changes...First of all you have to write the verb and then the subject.
FOR EXAMPLE: Are you funny?
Can I help?
2.- THERE ARE 2 KINDS OF QUESTIONS:
A) QUESTIONS WITH YES/NO ANSWER: Do you play Football?, Does Mary sing?...can you run?...Is Bilbao big?
B) QUESTIONS TO GIVE DETAILS...WHAT? WHEN? WHERE? WHO? HOW MANY?...

Back to schol! And I know that you were waiting for me! I am here,again! How was your summer? Where did you go? What did you do? How did you travel? How was the weather like? What cities did you visit? Did you go to the beach? Did you swim?...But...do you know swimming?...:-) :-) Did you go to the mountain? Did you see "MARIJAIA"? Did you go to the cinema?....

My summer:

"In summer I went to different places. I visited my family in Italy. I went to a small village in the North. The weather was sunny and hot. I went by plane to Milan and then I took a bus, a train and a car to arrive to Cavareno. That is the name of the village. After Cavareno I spent some days in Madrid in my sister´s house. It was very hot. But there is a swimming-pool! I was all the day into the water. After that I spent two weeks in Villaescusa de Ebro, a very small village in the mountains between Burgos and Cantabria. My wife´s grandfather has a house there...It was full of farm animals...dogs,cats, cows, pigs, hens...a zoo! During the last two weeks of August I went to Noja. The weather wasn´t very good but I went several times to the beach!....This was my summer!"

After having read Polina´s and Cristina´s message I am happy again!...This blog has its rules and you have to be polite and clever enough (and I am sure you are very clever) to write messages IN ENGLISH and with a little bit of education...I think that what happened during the last class with 6th A was an exception and you are going to understand very well what I want to say...well...As you all have lived the experience in a "Barnetegi", you can write a composition about it...Be careful with the verbs....Ready?...Let´s go!!!!!!!!!

I have read all your comments and I am very happy because yiou have writen and you have done it in English!. But you have to be very careful when you write and you have to try to correct your mistakes. For example, the use of the article "a", the subject,....
Let´s see some examples. Correct them and send your answers...Ready? Which are the mistakes?

1.- has nose big
2.- I have a blue eyes
3.- Pedro he has very tall
